Sebagaimana ditulis oleh Okezone , Solskjaer memang ditunjuk sebagai manajer interim Man United untuk mengisi kekosongan usai ditinggal Jose Mourinho. Bersama Solskjaer, performa Man United mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.

Bahkan Paul Pogba dan kawan-kawan berhasil melalui lima pertandingan teranyar mereka dengan hasil sempurna alias selalu menang. Raihan positif itu memunculkan dukungan agar Solskjaer dipermanenkan oleh Man United.

Akan tetapi harapan Solskjaer untuk benar-benar berstatus sebagai manajer Man United mendapatkan sejumlah penghalang. Teranyar adalah klub Solskjaer sebenarnya, yaitu Molde. Sebab melalui�Managing Director-nya, Oystein Neerland, Molde menegaskan takkan melepas Solskjaer.

Kesepakatannya (dengan Man United) hanya berlaku hingga 12 Mei. Itu merupakan rencana yang telah kami sepakati, dan sejauh ini tidak ada pembicaraan lain mengenai masa depan Solskjaer, ucap Neerland, seperti disadur dari�Sportsmole, Jumat (11/1/2019).

Jujur saja, kami tidak mempunyai rencana lain mengenai masa depan Solskjaer. Kami hanya berbicara dengan perwakilan Man United mengenai periode itu, Januari hingga Mei. Tidak lebih. Saya berpegang teguh pada rencana itu, tuntasnya.
